Research Summary
The recent mountain pine beetle (MPB) epidemic has caused profound change in >20 million hectares of interior British Columbia (BC) forests, affecting ecosystem services such as carbon storage and the hydrological regime. This project will investigate how water resources, carbon dynamics and their couplings have been affected by forest change due to the MPB epidemic and resulting salvage across many watersheds.
